​Andrea Woods

Andrea has worked for more than thirty years in oil paints, graphite, colored pencil, and pen & ink. In 2004, Andrea starte​d working in watercolor, and went back to her first love ... painting flowers, plants, and insects.

She trained in oil painting at UC Davis, California and spent a year abroad at the Beaux Arts in Bordeaux, France. The time spent in Europe fed her appreciation of classical themes.

Andrea now lives in the Pacific NW. Painting botanicals has become a form of meditation by concentrating and chronicling the details of fleeting life forms. The rewards are gaining intimate knowledge of graceful creations, and telling stories through line and color.
