Exhibit at Coos Bay Art Museum, July 7 - September 27, 2023
Coos Bay Art Museum, Coos Bay, OR
The Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, Northwest Chapter (GNSINW) has invited PNBA and OBA members to participate in an exciting exhibit later this year. Coos Bay Art Museum has offered GNSINW the Mabel Hanson gallery space to showcase work as part of their popular annual Maritime Arts Exhibition. The theme of the exhibit is local conservation, and pieces should seek to highlight conservation concerns or celebrate different coastal and estuary species. Although the show will not be juried, submissions should be of high quality. Submission is free, and the museum will collect 30% of any sales.
PNBA members can submit paintings of plants commonly found along the shores of Washington and Oregon. Of course, members can also submit paintings of sea and shore wildlife. Now is your chance to paint that starfish or plover!
Intent to Submit form (deadline - February 1) : https://forms.gle/BcDgqXTD8st4nEDn8
Final submissions are due June 1. Further instructions on submission will be sent to you after February 1.
