Jan Hurd
Jan began painting botanical subjects when she took her first ever watercolor class at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture from Louise Smith. Since then she has attended many workshops and classes with other accomplished botanical artists in watercolor and color pencil. She continues to relish the challenge of creating a good botanical design with accuracy and skill. She has enjoyed membership in the Pacific Northwest Botanical Artists from its beginning and Jan was the editor of the quarterly newsletter for many years. Most of her work can be seen on her website: www.janhurd.com, and at ETSY.com. Her work occasionally appears in shows at The Gallery on Bainbridge Island.
